Run by swiss chef Daniel Humm, this restaurant was started as a brasserie and evolved into one of the NYC’s most exclusive and progressive restaurants. In addition to the well-appreciated service, the restaurant is famous for its epic tasting menus. Showmanship is another well-admired feature of this restaurant.

Per Se

We haven’t seen anyone disappointed by the flawless and delicious dishes of this restaurant, from Thomas Keller’s famous salmon tartare cone to luxe oysters-and-caviar. You cannot just stop by and have a meal at Per Se, however. You might have to wait for four nights to have a spot for a dinner. And you are expected to wear the right clothes and pay a fixed service charge.

Le Bernardin

This Persian eatery was brought to Gotham in 1986 by siblings Gilbert and Maguy, and it has retained its reputation since. It is a formal place still, with jacket required policy and white tablecloths. However, Brooklyn artist Ran Ortner has done an overhaul to modernize the place with leather banquettes and a mural of a tempestuous sea.

Daniel

Daniel is a high-end genre, and Boulud and his team have done a good effort to keep this big-ticket commitment. Daniel has seen a vibrant redesign by Adam Tihany to give it a modernized look.

Bouley

Bouley has retained its 22-year old legacies. It still features the aromatic apples that greet diners as they walk through the doors. David Bouley’s devotion to an opulent is still unwavering.
